Warm interior shadows pool around the base of the table, against the cool blue tint of the afternoon light filtering through the window. In the foreground, blurred shapes of ceramic cups and wooden spoons create a soft bokeh barrier, resting beside the precise ritual. The turn of the seasons shows in the slight weight of the worker's long-sleeved shirt and dust settling on the metal rim of the wax pot. One droplet of clear wax rests on the tip of a freshly dipped wick, catching the light before it falls.
