Blue Hour Alley Steam Under Almaty Train Tracks

Cool blue twilight washes over a narrow back alley in Almaty, where steam billows upward from iron grates set into the wet pavement. The space sits directly beneath a heavy elevated train line, its steel beams casting dark, rhythmic shadows across the slick ground. Overcast skies diffuse the fading light, turning the wet asphalt into a mirror that reflects the faint glow of distant neon signs. Puddles gather in the cracks of the concrete, catching the ambient blue of the early winter evening. One metal railing runs along the right wall, its surface dull and damp. Steam rises in thick, translucent ribbons, curling against the dark underside of the railway structure before dissipating into the heavy air. at the edge is a streak of red neon reflection sliding across a puddle near the grate's edge.
