Autumn Levee Road After Storm in Suzhou

Steel-blue evening light floods a concrete levee service road running alongside a dam spillway in Suzhou. Puddles scattered across the asphalt mirror the darkening sky, their surfaces rippling under a visible wind that whips fallen yellow ginkgo leaves into chaotic motion. The road stretches deep into the frame, bordered by low stone walls and metal railings that gleam wetly. Autumn foliage lines the embankment, a mix of vibrant orange and fading green, against the cool grey of the infrastructure. Water flows rapidly in the spillway channel to the right, churning white foam against the dark concrete. at the edge is a single leaf caught against the edge of a puddle, its veins glowing faintly in the fading light.
