Warm late afternoon light spills across the narrow alley of Al-Hajar al-Aswad, illuminating a patch of stained concrete floor beside a section of rough white plaster. The concrete surface shows deep amber and rust-colored streaks where oil and water have pooled over years, contrasting sharply with the bright, textured white wall. A discarded handkerchief lies crumpled in the corner, its faded blue fabric catching the low sun. Nearby, a small darning mushroom sits forgotten against the wall, its wooden handle worn smooth by time. The composition focuses on the mix of textures and the disciplined geometry of the corner, highlighting the quiet beauty of everyday wear. Fine particles hang suspended in the golden beams, settling on the uneven surfaces. A brass ring by the curb holds one thin amber reflection.
