Sunlight cuts sharply across a narrow alleyway in the Santa Cruz district, illuminating the textured, ochre stucco of a weathered building facade. A heavy, dark wooden doorframe stands slightly ajar, revealing a glimpse of a tiled interior courtyard where shadows pool deeply. On a rough stone ledge beside the entrance, a cluster of everyday objects rests in the heat: a chipped ceramic basin holds stagnant water with faint mineral rings, next to a glass bottle reflecting the intense sky. A mango sits abandoned on the warm stone, its skin glowing orange against the dusty ground.
