Thick mist rests on the air, softening the edges of the background architecture while the low-angle sun casts deep orange shadows across his face. Foreground bokeh blurs distant rooftops into abstract shapes. The lamb's wool appears dense and soft against the rough texture of the boy's clothing. A faint outline of a distant minaret pierces the haze behind them. The boy's eyes reflect the fading light with steady focus. His grip on the lamb is firm, at the base of the composition in quiet intensity.
