Woodblock Printmaker Carving in Bonn Shrine

Copper-toned light fills a wide panoramic view of a shrine interior in Bonn, where a woodblock printmaker sits at a low table. The artisan's hands guide a chisel across a smooth wooden plate, sending fine shavings curling onto the surface. Rows of paper lanterns hang from the high ceiling, their soft glow mixing with the fading daylight. Traditional wooden beams and polished stone floors reflect the warm evening hues. Late summer is evident in the clear, open atmosphere. One fresh wood shaving rests on the edge of the carved block, catching the last ray of sun.
