Wood Anemones in Delta Woodland Twilight

Steel-blue ambient light washes over a dense carpet of white wood anemones blooming in early winter. The delicate petals stand against dark, damp earth beside a tidal inlet in the Nile Delta. Heavy overcast skies flatten the shadows, leaving the flowers to glow with a cool, ghostly intensity. In the distance, the first city lights begin to puncture the gloom, casting faint orange reflections on the water's edge. The scene holds an alert tension as the flora seems to brace against the encroaching night. One petal edge catches the fading blue, defining the boundary between the wild undergrowth and the approaching urban glow.
