Deep orange and violet light from the Manila sunset spills over a narrow mangrove channel. Thick prop roots rise from dark silt, draped in green vines that glisten with recent rain. A meadow of blooming flowers lines the banks, their bright colors resting against the shadowed water. Humid air hangs between the leaves, softening the edges of the foliage as the last light fades. Layers of branches recede into the distance, creating depth through overlapping shadows. One droplet slides down a broad leaf, catching the final glow before disappearing into the dark water below.
