Wind Turbine Nacelle Lifted by Crane at Dusk in across an active works site in Mexico

Wind Turbine Nacelle Lifted by Crane at Dusk

by Matias Fisher

Steel-blue ambient light washes the active worksite in Mexico as a massive wind turbine nacelle hangs suspended mid-air. Heavy lifting cables tension from the crane boom, anchoring the metallic component against a backdrop of skeletal tower sections. Fine dust particles drift in visible shafts, catching the fading daylight and softening the hard edges of the machinery. The ground below shows tracks of heavy equipment and scattered construction materials, typical of a winter installation site. Workers in high-visibility vests stand at a distance, their figures small against the industrial scale. Rust streaks mar the metal surfaces, while cold winter air hangs still in the suspended dust. A shadow from the nacelle falls sharply across a pile of gravel near the bottom right corner.
