Massive, curved fiberglass molds for wind turbine blades rest on the concrete floor of a high-ceilinged industrial hall. The space, originally a grain elevator, features towering wooden slat walls that hint at its past life near Manaus. Bright tropical sunlight floods the interior through high clerestory windows, illuminating a metallic haze that hangs suspended in the air above the dusty floor. The symmetrical arrangement of the dark gray molds creates a rhythmic pattern stretching into the distance. Rough textures of weathered wood contrast with the smooth, slightly glossy surfaces of the composite materials. One shadow falls sharply across the floor, marking the edge of a massive structural beam.
