Molten side light floods the vast turbine hall near Kinshasa, illuminating a long industrial walk where massive rope strands twist into existence. The dry season air carries a metallic haze that hangs suspended above the concrete floor, catching the warm orange glow of the setting sun. Heavy machinery dominates the foreground, its steel surfaces reflecting the intense directional light while casting long, sharp shadows across the workspace. The rhythmic motion of the twisting mechanism creates clear continuous, monumental force. Dust motes swirl in the golden beams, highlighting the texture of the raw fibers as they are pulled and coiled.
