Wet Pavement Neon Reflection in Dalian Alley

Soft gray light from low-hanging clouds diffuses over the slick asphalt of a narrow back alley. The wet pavement acts as a dark mirror, stretching the blurred red and blue glow of a distant neon sign across its uneven surface. Along the left, a shuttered arcade displays rows of closed metal doors, their gray panels reflecting the muted sky. Late autumn leaves, brown and damp, rest on the edges of the drainage grates. The wet sheen catches the faint light, creating elongated streaks of color that ripple slightly where rain pools. One puddle near the foreground distorts the reflection, bending the neon lines into abstract shapes against the rough texture of the stone curb. The metal shutters stand rigid and cold, their horizontal slats aligning with the damp ground.
