Pale dawn light slices across the upper edge of a wooden community board, leaving the lower corridor in deep shadow. The board holds a dense grid of paper notices in white, yellow, and faded blue, displaying Polish script for classes and hearings. Late spring moisture has swollen the paper edges, causing them to curl and peel away from the wood surface. Water stains streak down the lower sheets, blurring ink lines and softening paper fibers into translucent patches.
