Weather Balloon Spool on Research Platform

A pale pink sky stretches above a wind-scoured metal research platform near Petah Tikva during monsoon season. Thick white cables spool from a heavy cylindrical housing, unspooling upward into the dry mountain light. Condensation beads along the cold, dark gray metal surfaces, catching the late morning sun in sharp, distinct droplets. The foreground housing dominates the view with a shallow depth of field, blurring the distant arid scrubland behind it. Fine rust speckles dot the industrial casing, against the smooth, taut line of the balloon tether. One bead of water rolls slowly down the vertical edge of the spool mechanism, tracing a path through the dust.
