Weather Balloon Launch Tarp Snapping in Dawn Wind

Thick, dark blue nylon flutters violently against a steel frame on the wet concrete surface of the research platform. Condensation beads heavily on the cold, silver radiosonde case, reflecting the pale gray sky. A rim of soft white light outlines the edges of the tarp where the wind pulls it taut, separating the fabric from the deep shadows below. Rain-slicked metal bolts glisten under the first light of dawn. The scene is set against the muted greens of the surrounding rainy season vegetation. The tarp's fabric ripples with tension, while the radiosonde case rests firmly on the damp ground, its surface dotted with water droplets that slide slowly down the curved metal housing.
