Cold silver light floods the switchback approach near Lashio, illuminating the weathered fuselage of a vintage transport airplane from a rear perspective. Fine sea spray hangs in the air, clinging to the propeller blades and settling on the rough grass strip below. The aircraft stands grounded, its metal skin reflecting the pale dawn glow while the surrounding landscape reveals the turn of seasons with muted greens and browns. Dust motes are not visible, but the moisture in the air creates a soft haze that blurs the distant tree line. The tail section rests firmly on the uneven terrain, its shadow stretching long across the blades of grass. One rivet line runs along the wing edge, catching the faint light.
