Seaplane Leaving Tropical Atoll Vietnam Afternoon

Sunlight penetrates the turquoise water in distinct, shifting shafts that illuminate a seaplane cutting across the surface of a Vietnamese atoll. The wet season haze softens the distant horizon where green mangrove fringes meet the sky. Suspended particles glitter within the blue column, creating a field of floating dust that catches the light from above. The aircraft leaves a frothy white wake trailing behind its hull, disrupting the glassy surface. Ripples spread outward in concentric circles, distorting the reflection of the clouds. The water transitions from clear shallow depths near the hull to deep indigo further out, marking the edge of the reef. A shadow of the plane stretches beneath the surface, aligning perfectly with the vessel above.
