Vaulter Carrying Poles Through Predawn Fog
Deep shadow envelopes the harbor quay near Shah Faisal Town as the first light of dawn begins to bleed across the horizon. A vaulter moves forward through the thick, low-hanging fog, gripping two long poles against their shoulder. The sky above is a perfectly clear gradient of pale blue, contrasting sharply with the mist that rests on the water's edge. A sharp rim of golden light outlines the athlete's silhouette and the curved tops of the poles, separating them from the dark, wet concrete. Early autumn air hangs heavy, visible only in the density of the vapor wrapping around the runner's legs. The poles extend upward, their tips disappearing into the gray haze while the runner's feet strike the damp pavement with visible force. at the edge is the bright, metallic glint on the pole tip cutting through the gloom.
