Soft gray fog lingers over the wet cinder track in Bahawalpur, diffusing the harsh noon sun into a pale, even glow. A hammer thrower stands in a blur of motion, the heavy metal ball streaking outward as a silver arc against the hazy sky. The athlete's form is stretched tight, muscles defined against the damp, red-brown surface of the field. Droplets of water rest on the synthetic track, reflecting the muted light, while the distant stadium walls fade into the white mist. The low angle emphasizes the vertical reach of the throw, isolating the figure against the vast, empty expanse of the morning sky. One shadow stretches long and thin across the puddles at the athlete's feet.
