Rows of tulips in vibrant reds and yellows stretch across a flat coastal plain near Mission, San Francisco, fading into a thick, gray mist that obscures the distant horizon. The sun hangs low, casting a soft, diffused glow that wraps the landscape in pale amber light. Early autumn air hangs heavy, turning the flower stems slightly drooping under the damp weight. The ground appears damp and dark, reflecting the muted sky above. In the foreground, individual petals show fine veining and texture, while the background dissolves into a uniform white fog. The horizon line cuts sharply across the frame, separating the colorful field from the endless gray expanse of the Pacific Ocean.
