Transparent Highland Dancer in Tucson Rain

Warm golden light floods the Tucson stage as a Scottish highland dancer balances mid-sword dance during the monsoon season. Steady rain falls in visible sheets, beading on the dancer's tartan kilt and the metal blades of the swords. The dancer's body remains solid, yet one entire sword is crafted from clear glass tinted deep crimson, holding its color while allowing the rain behind it to blur through the material. Water droplets rest on the glass surface, refracting the stage lights into distorted rainbows. The wooden floorboards beneath are dark and wet, reflecting the dancer's shadow and the crimson glow of the transparent blade. one drop of water slides down the glass edge, tracing a path through the solid air.
