Copper-toned light pools across a white enamel tray holding a glass thermometer, its mercury column steady against the dimming sky. Condensation beads along the rim of a nearby glass vessel, catching the glow of the setting sun. The white surface of the tray reflects the warm ambient hue, creating soft highlights on the metal edges. Above the tray, a school of tropical fish swims through the air at head height, their scales shimmering with iridescent blues and oranges. The fish move in a tight formation, their fins cutting through the invisible medium with fluid precision. Shadows from the pier railing stretch across the tray, adding geometric depth to the composition. The thermometer remains the anchor, its silver line distinct against the surreal aquatic movement surrounding it.
