Terracotta Pot in Rome

A weathered terracotta pot sits on a sun-bleached stone ledge in Rome, its rough surface against the smooth, pale plaster of the adjacent wall. The overcast midday light diffuses evenly across the scene, eliminating harsh shadows and highlighting the subtle texture of the aged clay. A faint, irregular water mark stains the white plaster just above the rim, evidence of recent rain or irrigation. Tiny green shoots emerge from the soil, reaching upward toward the gray sky.
