A weathered terracotta pot sits on a rough concrete ledge of a Sydney terrace, catching the bright, diffuse light of a winter noon. The rim of the pot is chipped and pale, revealing the porous clay beneath a layer of accumulated dust and dried soil. Behind the pot, a white painted window frame reflects the harsh sunlight, creating a sharp contrast with the earthy tones of the vessel. One dry, curled leaf rests in the center of the pot, showing the stillness of the season.
