A white plastic table fan rests on a rough concrete balcony ledge, angled slightly toward the warm, late-afternoon sun in Athens. Its protective wire cage catches the golden light, revealing the dust settled on the stationary blades inside. Behind the fan, a weathered stucco wall shows peeling paint and the texture of years under the Greek sun. A small, shadowed space beneath the fan reveals a glimpse of the city’s dense rooftops below.
