Outrigger Fishing Boat Jakarta Evening Shadow
Heavy gray clouds press low over the water near Tanah Abang, Jakarta, casting the fishing prau into deep shadow. A sharp rim of pale light traces the curve of the hull and the wooden outrigger float, separating the dark silhouette from the wet, dark surface of the river. The dry season air hangs still, leaving the wooden planks of the boat appearing matte and weathered. Salt residue coats the lower edges of the hull, catching the faint glow from the overcast sky. The boat sits low in the water, its structure simple and functional against the vast, uniform gray of the sky. A thin line of white foam rests on the stern where the water meets the dark wood.
