Silhouetted Iron Gate in Tehran Atrium
Thick iron-studded oak doors stand dark against the pale, low-hanging winter clouds filling a vaulted atrium near Tehran. The heavy timber frame dominates the foreground, its studded surface visible only as rough texture in the deep shadow. Above, the curved stone archway of the atrium disappears into the gloom, showing the vast vertical space. City lights begin to glow faintly in the distance beyond the open arch, creating a thin, warm rim of illumination that traces the top edge of the door. The heavy, cold air of the dead of winter hangs in the stillness. A low Dutch angle tilt slants the vertical lines of the door and the arch, tilting the horizon and at the base of the massive structure against the sky.
