Glass Pavilion Winter Light Near Isfahan

Flat gray light from low clouds fills the glass-roofed arcade near Isfahan, casting soft shadows across the pale stone floor. Curved glass panels form the roof, framing the steel framework that rises in sharp geometric lines. Outside the transparent walls, dormant winter trees press against the structure, their bare branches creating dark silhouettes against the overcast sky. The smooth surfaces reflect the heavy cloud cover above, blurring the edge between the interior space and the cold exterior. A vertical steel support beam anchors the structure against the weight of the winter atmosphere. The stillness of the scene rests on the unmoving, sharp lines of the architecture and the heavy, suspended light falling across the floor.
