Silhouetted Golden Tamarin Above Glacial Stream

Low sun reduces a tamarin monkey to a dark silhouette against the fading sky. The animal sits on a wet rock beside a glacial stream in Belarus, its golden fur lost in shadow while the water rushes over stones below. Early summer clouds break after a storm, leaving moisture on nearby branches. Soft greens and grays dissolve behind the primate due to shallow depth of field. Water droplets rest on the rough bark of a branch at the edge, catching the dim light. The monkey's tail wraps tightly around the stone, anchoring its stance against the rushing current. A final highlight catches the jagged edge of a leaf in the immediate foreground, glowing faintly against the deep shadows.
