Silhouetted Cherry Branch Against Blue Sky

Hard midmorning light cuts through the canopy, casting a stark silhouette of a cherry blossom branch against a deep blue sky. Snowflakes drift gently through the air, catching the glare as they fall past the darkened wood. Below, the forest floor is lined with green ferns, their fronds against the white flakes settling on the earth. The branch extends upward, its delicate structure defined only by the bright background. Snow accumulates on the lower limbs, weighing them slightly. The scene remains grounded in the physical reality of a late autumn morning where snow meets evergreen undergrowth, ending with a single flake resting on a fern tip.
