Sawmill Conveyor Bark Slabs Winter Menouf

Hard white late-afternoon light strikes the steel and concrete of an industrial sawmill near Menouf. A conveyor belt moves upward, carrying a chaotic mix of dark, rough bark and pale, flat wooden slabs. The winter season appears in the stark, leafless quality of the light and the cold, metallic haze hovering just above the floor. Shot from a low angle, the machinery looms with mechanical severity, its surfaces reflecting the sharp clarity of the clear sky. Rust patches mark the edges of the metal tracks, while the pale wood contrasts against the dark organic debris. The heavy steel beams frame the moving load, resting on the base in raw utility. A shadow from the overhead structure falls across the conveyor's edge.
