Copper Light Over Lumber Mill Stacks
Stacks of rough-hewn timber rise in dense, orderly rows along a concrete processing floor. The wood displays deep grain textures and weathered gray surfaces, against the smooth, pale sorting tables nearby. Above, a metallic haze hangs suspended in the air, catching the warm, copper-toned glow of late spring dusk. Converging lines formed by the timber piles and floor edges pull toward a distant vanishing point where the light deepens into shadow. Dust motes shimmer in the firelight warmth, settling on the edges of the logs. at the edge is a sharp, dark edge where a single plank meets the polished steel of a sorting table.
