Pale morning light touches the rim of a saffron picker standing on a narrow mountain trail near Krabi. Deep shadows swallow the lower path, leaving the figure as a silhouette against the soft gray sky. Fine droplets of a light drizzle rest on the rough texture of the woven basket and the wet fabric of the long sleeves. The dry season air holds no green, only the brown and beige tones of the rocky terrain. Negative space surrounds the solitary figure, showing the steep drop-off to the left and the fading darkness behind. One bead of water slides slowly down the curve of a wooden handle, marking the edge of the shadow.
