Rusted Rake Head in Hobart

A weathered metal rake head rests against the rough stone wall of a heritage building in Hobart, its tines catching the flat, diffused light of an overcast midday. The rusted iron surface shows patches of orange oxidation against the grey, damp stone behind it. Beside the tool, a cluster of native fern fronds curls gently, their vibrant green leaves providing a sharp color accent to the muted tones of the scene. Small droplets of moisture rest on the fern tips, reflecting the cloudy sky above the narrow laneway.
