A weathered garden rake leans against the rough, grey stucco wall of a Sydney terrace house, its wooden handle catching the flat, diffuse light of an overcast midday. The metal tines are coated in a fine layer of red dust, against the damp green moss growing in the crevices of the brickwork nearby. A small patch of clover and scattered dry leaves rests at the base of the tool, indicating recent use in the narrow side yard. Water droplets rest on the tips of the tines, reflecting the grey sky above.
