Radio Antennas Under Blue Hour Sky in from a frost-hushed ridgeline near Nanchang

Radio Antennas Under Blue Hour Sky

by Brynn Dillon

Cool blue twilight washes over a cluster of radio antenna arrays perched on a frost-dusted ridgeline near Nanchang. Late spring moisture hangs in the air as brief sun shower droplets glint against the dark metal surfaces. The sky above transitions from deep indigo to a soft violet horizon, casting long shadows across the twisted cables and lattice structures. Frost rests on the lower brackets while raindrops streak down the vertical poles. In the distance, faint city lights begin to pierce the gloom, against the sharp geometric lines of the transmitting equipment. One droplet slides slowly down a curved dish reflector, catching the last residual glow of the fading day.
