Pale moonlight washes over a tundra ridge, illuminating scattered low shrubs against a backdrop of layered foothills near Francistown. The wet season leaves the ground slick and dark, reflecting the cold, diffuse glow of the sky. Fine rain falls steadily, blurring the distant contours of the hills into soft, grey gradients. Wind-sculpted grasses lean in unison, their tips glistening with moisture. The horizon lacks any artificial light, showing the vast, empty expanse. Tiny droplets rest on the edges of the nearest shrub leaves, sharp and distinct against the muted, shadowed earth.
