Fog Bow Over Northern Ireland Moors Twilight

A pale, ghostly fog bow arcs silently across indigo twilight skies above a dew-slicked moor in Northern Ireland. The white band lacks the sharp spectrum of a rainbow, appearing instead as a soft, diffuse halo against the deepening blue. Below, the heather-covered ground glistens with late summer moisture, reflecting the faint residual light of a storm that has just passed. Distant town lights create a warm, orange glow on the horizon, against the cool atmospheric tones. The composition cuts diagonally through the frame, where the curve of the bow intersects with the dark, rolling terrain. One droplet clings to a blade of grass in the immediate foreground, catching the last of the ambient light.
