Potted Peace Lily in San Diego

A potted peace lily sits on a wet concrete balcony ledge in San Diego, its broad leaves glistening with fresh raindrops under the soft first light. The green foliage contrasts sharply with the dull gray of the overcast sky and the damp, textured surface of the planter. Behind the plant, a chain-link fence separates the private space from the dense urban landscape of nearby apartment buildings. One droplet rests on the tip of the lowest leaf, reflecting the pale morning light before falling.
