Tarnished Brass Houseplant in San Diego

A tarnished brass houseplant sits on a rain-slicked window sill inside a San Diego bungalow as dusk settles. Water droplets bead along the rim of the pot, reflecting the dim gray light filtering through the glass. Outside, the blurred shapes of palm fronds sway gently in the steady, cool drizzle. One droplet rests on the edge of a dried leaf, suspended against the darkening view.
