Porch Floor in San Diego

Early morning light falls through the slats of a weathered wooden porch railing in a La Jolla bungalow, casting long, sharp stripes across a faded terracotta tile floor. A chipped enamel mug sits near the edge of the frame, steam rising faintly into the cool air, while a folded newspaper rests casually beside it. Beyond the threshold, a manicured succulent garden glows under the soft, diffused sunrise, with the distant outline of the Pacific Ocean barely visible through the haze. The quiet transition from night to day, showing the texture of aged wood against the smooth, cool stone, and the stillness of a home waking up to the California coast.
