Polar Ice Shelf Edge on Sapporo Desk

Blue ice forms a jagged shelf edge resting directly on a wooden writing desk surface in a Sapporo room. Open water pools at the base, reflecting the pale north-window light that floods the space at midday. The midnight sun season casts a steady, cool glow across the wet textures. Condensation beads along the rim of a nearby glass, merging with the ice's meltwater. The ice structure fills the frame, its translucent layers revealing deep azure depths against the neutral wood grain. A thin film of water spreads from the ice onto the desk, creating a darkened patch that mirrors the sky outside.
