Piper in Tartan on Chimbote Theater Stage

Deep shadow swallows the left side of the theater stage while a thin rim of cool dawn light defines the silhouette of a piper standing at the far edge. The figure wears a tartan kilt and jacket, the red and green plaid catching faint highlights against the suspended stage haze. Behind him, the dark backdrop of the Chimbote venue contrasts with the pale, misty air drifting across the floorboards. The cool season light falls through high windows, illuminating particles of dust in the gloom. His bagpipes rise vertically, the metal pipes reflecting a sharp glint of the rim light. The texture of the wool kilt is visible where the light grazes the folds, ending on the rough grain of the wooden stage floor.
