Pigment Drums in Paint Factory Before Dawn

Rows of rusted steel pigment drums line metal shelving units that stretch deep into the shadows of a paint factory beside a blast furnace. The wet season coats the concrete floor in a slick sheen, reflecting the amber spill from distant street lamps that cut through the heavy, dramatic clouds hovering overhead. Metal surfaces gleam with moisture, their orange and gray hues muted by the pre-dawn gloom. Converging lines of the shelving guide toward a vanishing point where the industrial silhouette of the furnace looms against the darkening sky. One drum in the foreground catches a sharp highlight on its rim, defining the edge against the damp floor.
