Patchwork Quilt and Giant Mushrooms by Bay Window
Early autumn sunlight floods the room through a large bay window, illuminating a worn leather armchair draped with a colorful patchwork quilt. The quilt's geometric patterns of red, blue, and yellow fabrics rest against the dark, textured leather. Among the ordinary domestic objects on the floor, enormous mushrooms with umbrella-sized caps rise from the ground, their stems thick and sturdy like tree trunks. The caps display earthy tones of brown and beige, against the pale walls that bounce the afternoon light. Soft lamplight settles into the corners of the room, casting gentle shadows around the oversized fungi. One mushroom stem rests against the base of the armchair, at the base of the impossible growth in the lived-in space. The floor beneath the chairs shows signs of wear, blending seamlessly with the surreal vegetation.
