Pale autumn light bounces off the cream walls of a quiet sewing room in Konya, illuminating a wooden darning mushroom resting on a painted display ledge. The mushroom, carved from smooth, light-colored wood, stands ready beside scattered sewing tools including spools of thread in warm ochre and rust tones. Fine dust particles float in the narrow shafts of indirect light that slice across the workspace. The surface of the ledge shows signs of wear, with a soft patina reflecting the late morning sun. Surrounding the central object, generous negative space emphasizes the stillness of the room. One thread end hangs loosely from a nearby spool, catching the light at its tip.
