Okinawa Wave-Cut Platform Frost City Lights

Steel-blue ambient light washes over a flat wave-cut platform where frost crystals coat every jagged rock edge and the surface of deep tidal pools. The shoreline stretches outward, revealing layers of dark stone that recede into the hazy distance. In the background, the warm, scattered glow of city lights begins to pierce the twilight, against the cool tones of the geologic landscape. The turn of seasons brings a brittle sheen to the wet surfaces, freezing the small pools that dot the platform. Sharp shadows define the uneven terrain, while the distant urban glow reflects faintly on the smooth, icy water. One droplet of frozen water rests on the rim of a shallow pool, catching the fading light.
