Pale silver dawn light floods the narrow alley of Idku's old quarter, illuminating a mosaic artist kneeling on a rough stone floor. The artist's hands move with fierce precision, pressing small, colorful glass tesserae into a thick layer of wet plaster. Dramatic clouds loom overhead, casting shifting shadows across the textured wall behind the workspace. Seasonal change is visible in the muted tones of the surrounding architecture and the crisp air settling on the ground. The composition follows the rule of thirds, placing the artist's focused profile against the expansive, cloud-filled sky. One piece of blue glass catches the first ray of sun, glowing against the gray plaster.
