Moonlit Seaside Hotel Ruin Near Gwangalli

by Wayne Wood

Cold moonlight floods the decaying facade of a seaside resort hotel near Gwangalli, Busan, casting sharp silver highlights on crumbling concrete. Balconies hang precariously, their railings bent and broken, falling away in layers of depth that recede into the dark distance. The building stands against a clear night sky, its weathered surfaces textured with salt stains and moss creeping across the stone. Bare branches of nearby trees reach toward the structure, their shadows stretching long and thin across the fractured pavement. Broken windows reveal empty, dark interiors, while the ocean beyond shimmers with a faint, rhythmic glint. A jagged piece of rebar protrudes from a collapsed wall corner, catching the pale light.
